Supports Cape Wind Project

Of all the alternative energy sources wind power is in a uniquely attractive position for having recently passed a crucial juncture on the road to mass utilization: generating electricity from wind is now commercially viable, and we welcome the prospect of competition among investors in the private sector to build clean, safe and renewable source wind projects around our nation.

Wind projects, however, need to be strategically placed where they will generate substantial energy. In fact there are very few locations in our nation where wind farms can generate optimum kilowatts. Nantucket Sound is one such location. The highest priority is liberating our nation from Middle Eastern oil. The wind farm is a meaningful step in that direction.
