Foreign oil is the root cause of many military conflicts

My peace plank will focus on the root causes of so many military conflicts- our dependence on more resources than we produce-especially oil. We need to be more responsible in our use of natural resources, break our addiction to oil and encourage new technologies to make us more efficient and to develop cleaner, more sustainable forms of energy.
