Zane Lawhorn on DrugsRepublican Senate Challenger |
Description of Position: I am ashamed of several things I did as a young person. Fortunately, I have put them all in my past. But I want to be honest and upfront so the citizens will trust what they hear. I tried both drugs and alcohol for a short time during my teenage years. During my junior year in high school I asked God to help me walk away from using drugs. I lost some good friends with that decision. But it was a good decision.
Description of Position: If we could reduce the illegal use of drugs then the cost to taxpayers in life, property and court/prison cost would decrease considerably. By increasing the penalty for the transportation, manufacturer and distribution of drugs we can reduce criminal activity. Released drug abusers should be monitored for drug activity on a regular basis.
